It incorporates developmentally appropriate coaching practices, core principles in the conduct of interscholastic sports, organizational and planning skills, psychosocial dimensions of coaching, and effective communication techniques with players, parents and the community.
Successful completion of the Online Coaching Eligibility Course meets the requirement for the Maine Principals' Association's (MPA) policy

The course consists of 10 unit readings, followed by a mandatory online examination for each unit. In order to pass the course successfully, coaches must earn a minimum quiz score of 60% and an overall course average of 80%.
Upon successful completion, the MCSC will mail coaches a certificate of completion, send an email confirmation of completion to the school/organization administrator, and an email confirmation of completion to the MPA. Please contact the MCSC to request confirmation to any other party.
